First aid kits are a collection of medical supplies designed to provide immediate care for minor injuries and emergencies until professional medical attention can be obtained. Individual departments or laboratories are responsible for the procurement and maintenance of first aid kits in their respective areas. First aid kits may be procured through a variety of vendors or third party providers. It is important to note that first aid kits should not contain medications or any items that do not fit into the first aid definition.
